How Treatment Works

Sculptra® is made of Poly-L-Lactic Acid (PLLA), a biocompatible material that has been used in medical implants for decades. When injected, the PLLA micro-particles trigger a “controlled inflammatory response.” This signal tells your body to produce a surge of Type I Collagen around the particles. Over the course of 3 to 6 months, the Sculptra® itself dissolves, leaving behind a thick, new foundation of your own natural collagen that restores volume and smooths wrinkles for up to two years.
