Dr. Brett Bender earned his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic
Medicine in 2002. He completed his internship at the same institution and served as chief intern.
After internship, he completed a Family Medicine residency through St. Luke’s Hospital in
Allentown, PA where he honed his skills at treating the patient as a whole. He completed his
training in Dermatology at Michigan State University, spending the majority of time treating
dermatology patients in the metro Detroit area.
After residency, Dr. Bender worked in Michigan for almost 20 years treating patients with
medical dermatology issues. He also had the opportunity to train residents and served as the
director of osteopathic education for the dermatology residency program in Farmington Hills, MI
through Michigan State University. In addition to these activities, he also served as a primary
investigator and sub investigator in numerous clinical trials for exciting new treatments being
studied.
His love of the outdoors, hiking, skiing, rafting, fishing and a lifelong dream of living in the
mountains called him to Montana. He specializes in psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, acne, skin
cancer detection, contact dermatitis and the surgical removal of cysts and lipomas.
