PRF Under Eye
in Bozeman

This treatment gradually restores skin quality and supports collagen production, helping the under-eye area appear smoother, firmer, and more refreshed over time.

Natural Restoration.
Brighten and Plump with PRF.

If you are tired of looking tired, but aren’t ready for traditional dermal fillers, PRF is the most natural way to refresh your under-eye area. For our patients in Bozeman, PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) uses the “liquid gold” from your own blood to naturally thicken the thin skin under your eyes, reducing the appearance of dark circles and hollows.

At SkinCare MT we harness your body’s own healing cells to restore a rested, youthful vibrancy to your eyes—naturally.

Strengthening the Under-Eye “Curtain”

The skin under our eyes is the thinnest on the body. As we lose collagen, this “curtain” becomes even more transparent, allowing the underlying dark blood vessels and hollows to show through. Instead of just “filling” the area, PRF focuses on regenerating the skin. By injecting your own concentrated growth factors, we encourage the skin to become thicker, firmer, and more opaque, naturally hiding the shadows.

Autologous Regenerative Medicine

At SkinCare MT, PRF therapy (ICD-10: L90.5) is a sterile medical procedure that uses your own biological material for a 100% natural result.

How Treatment Works

The process begins with a simple blood draw. We spin the blood in a centrifuge at a specific speed to create Platelet-Rich Fibrin. Unlike PRP, PRF is spun slower, which preserves more white blood cells and creates a “fibrin matrix.” Once injected under the eye, this matrix acts like a slow-release sponge, leaking Growth Factors into the tissue over the course of a week. This triggers a long-term healing response that builds new collagen and improves blood flow, resulting in a naturally brighter and smoother under-eye area.

PATIENT QUESTIONS

PRF Under Eye FAQ

Clinical answers from our board-certified dermatologists.

What makes PRF different from PRP?

While both involve drawing blood and spinning it in a centrifuge, the key differences are:

  • Speed:
PRF is spun at a lower speed, which keeps white blood cells, stem cells, and fibrin intact.
  • Release:
PRP releases growth factors in a quick burst. PRF creates a “fibrin scaffold” that releases growth factors
slowly over 7–10 days , leading to longer-lasting tissue regeneration.
  • Additives:
PRP usually contains anticoagulants (acid citrate dextrose). PRF is 100% natural with no chemical additives.
What does it treat under the eyes?
  • Dark circles (especially those caused by thin skin showing blood vessels).

  • Fine lines and “crepy” skin (crow’s feet).

  • Hollow “tear troughs” (by thickening the skin over time).

  • Poor skin texture and loss of elasticity.

Does the injection hurt?

The blood draw is just like a standard lab test. The under-eye injections feel like small pinpricks. Because the area is sensitive, most providers use a topical numbing cream or a very fine “cannula” (a blunt-tipped needle) to minimize discomfort and bruising.

Is there downtime?

Expect significant swelling for the first 24–48 hours. Because PRF is a liquid being injected into a small space, you will look “puffy” immediately after.

When will I see results?
  • Immediate: You’ll see a temporary filling effect from the liquid, which subsides in 2–3 days.

  • Long-term: True results appear at 4–12 weeks as collagen production ramps up. Most people need a series of 3 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart.
