Dr. Brett Bender earned his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic
Medicine in 2002. He completed his internship at the same institution and served as chief intern.

After internship, he completed a Family Medicine residency through St. Luke’s Hospital in
Allentown, PA where he honed his skills at treating the patient as a whole. He completed his
training in Dermatology at Michigan State University, spending the majority of time treating
dermatology patients in the metro Detroit area.

After residency, Dr. Bender worked in Michigan for almost 20 years treating patients with
medical dermatology issues. He also had the opportunity to train residents and served as the
director of osteopathic education for the dermatology residency program in Farmington Hills, MI
through Michigan State University. In addition to these activities, he also served as a primary
investigator and sub investigator in numerous clinical trials for exciting new treatments being
studied.

His love of the outdoors, hiking, skiing, rafting, fishing and a lifelong dream of living in the
mountains called him to Montana. He specializes in psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, acne, skin
cancer detection, contact dermatitis and the surgical removal of cysts and lipomas.

Dr. Oetken is a board-certified dermatologist providing comprehensive care in medical, surgical, and
cosmetic dermatology. She has a special interest in skin cancer and skin cancer surgery, with a focus on
treating patients diagnosed with skin cancer and supporting high-risk individuals who have had
significant sun exposure. She specializes in helping patients achieve healthy, radiant skin through a
combination of holistic approaches, prescription therapies, and advanced cosmetic treatments such as

Botox, dermal fillers, and hormone replacement therapy. Dr. Oetken values building long-term
relationships with her patients and guiding them toward holistic solutions for healthy, radiant skin. She
is committed to helping each patient feel confident in their appearance and empowered throughout
their skin health journey. Accepted to medical school at age 17, Dr. Oetken completed a dual-degree
program at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, followed by medical school at Baylor College of Medicine
in Houston, Texas. She completed her dermatology residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical
Sciences in Little Rock
, Arkansas, where she served as Chief Resident. She has also served on committees

with the American Academy of Dermatology. Outside the office, Dr. Oetken enjoys spending time with
her husband and their three children exploring the outdoors in all seasons!

Dr. Koch is a graduate of Brown University and Yale Medical School. She was a national merit scholar in high school and a dual sport varsity athlete while at Brown. She completed her dermatology residency at the University of Minnesota, during which time she received the Women’s Dermatologic Society Mentorship Award. She then spent five years working as a general dermatologist, serving as adjunct faculty at the University of Minnesota, before relocating to Montana. Her medical training has brought her to Cuba, New Zealand, and Tanzania, where she worked at a regional dermatology training center. Although she enjoys treating all manner of skin conditions, her special interests include women’s health, and infectious and autoimmune diseases. She chose dermatology in part because it allows her to form close relationships with patients of all ages and walks of life. Her passions include playing ice hockey, singing harmony, and spending time in the great outdoors with her husband and four children.

Dr. Buckland is a board-certified dermatologist, as well as a board-certified and fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon. She specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of skin cancer, as well as other conditions involving the skin, hair, and nails. She earned her medical degree at West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her dermatology residency and fellowship training at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Dr. Buckland has numerous publications in major dermatologic journals and has presented at national dermatology meetings.

Dr. Buckland grew up on a cattle farm in Virginia and she fell in love with Montana after spending two summers working as a horseback trail guide in Big Sky. She and her husband are adventure sports enthusiasts and excited about exploring all that Montana has to offer. In her free time, she enjoys getting outside and spending time with her family.

Dr. Bruce is a board certified dermatologist and skin cancer expert. He is one of only a few fellowship-trained surgical experts in the state of Montana, focusing on the treatment of all types of skin cancers including the utilization of Mohs micrographic surgery. This extensive training also provides a depth of experience in advanced reconstructive techniques after Mohs surgery. Dr. Bruce has performed over 12,000 Mohs surgical procedures since 2009.

In addition to publishing several articles in a variety of medical journals, Dr. Bruce has lectured both locally and at national academic conferences. A magna cum laude graduate of Arizona State University, Dr. Bruce was an Arizona State Regent Merit Scholar and a recipient of a National Science Foundation research grant focusing on evolutionary biology. He also received multiple National Health Service Corps scholarships to serve in-need areas such as Ft. Yukon, Alaska.

Dr. Bruce grew up in Flint, MI, Dallas, TX, and Phoenix, AZ. A love of the mountains from an early age drew him to the Rockies. Nearly every weekend, you can find Dr. Bruce hiking, biking, and skiing with his wife and three children.
